Rooted in Kaffa, Tega & Tula grows and processes specialty green coffee under the leadership of Ahadu Woubshet, with estate lots traceable to individual growing blocks.
About Tega & Tula,
This farm grows, processes, and exports specialty Ethiopian green coffee, with its roots in Kaffa, southwestern Ethiopia. The original farms take their names from the neighbouring villages of Tega and Tula, where many of the people working on the estate live. Led by Ahadu Woubshet, the business connects coffee production to a specific place and the people who work there throughout the year.
Before investing in coffee farming, Ahadu was part of the founding executive team at the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange. He brought that experience into developing Tega & Tula for specialty coffee production. The company’s operations now include farms in Kaffa, Gesha, and Anderacha, growing and preparing washed and natural coffees for domestic and international buyers. Farming, processing, and export are all part of its work.
The connection to neighbouring communities extends beyond harvest employment. Tega & Tula has supported school programmes and funded scholarships for young women continuing their education. Ahadu describes caring for the community as one of the principles guiding the business, alongside environmental considerations and professional farm management. These commitments connect the estate’s development with the everyday needs of the people working around it.
