A community of growers, moving forward together.
About Montegrande
The Montegrande Agricultural Producers Association is a group of smallholder coffee farmers based in Cajamarca, Peru, formed to strengthen production and improve access to stable market opportunities. As a Fairtrade and Organic certified organization, the association operates within a framework that supports environmentally responsible farming practices while promoting more transparent trade and reinvestment at origin. By organizing collectively, producers are able to share resources, align quality practices, and build a more sustainable foundation for coffee growing in the region.
Established to support farmers working on small, individual plots, the association operates across high-altitude areas ranging from 1,500 to 1,900 meters above sea level. These conditions, combined with traditional farming practices, provide a strong basis for producing coffees with clarity, balance, and regional character. The association helps coordinate production and post-harvest efforts, allowing for more structured and consistent output.
Today, Montegrande represents a growing network of producers focused on long-term development rather than short-term gains. Through ongoing improvements in organization, infrastructure, and quality control, the association continues to strengthen its position as a reliable source of Peruvian coffee while maintaining a clear connection to its farming communities.
